On 21st April 2018, an image of an empty neon-yellow-lit room surfaced on the paranormal 4chan image-board /x/ alongside other so-called 'cursed images'.
Using techniques of image annotation and conspiracy-birthing logic, this lecture-performance traces a line across US/Japanese horror cinema, mythic internet lore and the shadiness of 'pornglomerate' megacorps to explore images of empty rooms - liminal spaces - as dank holes of abject radicalisation.
